Route Review:

  1. cycle between the 2 largest Finger Lakes.

  2. at the 9 mile mark, those interested can visit the Muranda Cheese Company to sample cheese. Enjoy a coffee. A little early for wine!

  3. at the 31 mile mark (regular route) & 53 mark (long route) worth a stop at the 3 Brothers Winery. Enjoy lunch, coffee, craft beer, wine tasting. Worth a stop to view the WWII photos & decorations.

  4. as the route heads back to Geneva, there is a 0.6 mile long gravel section that bypasses traffic and takes the riders along a bike path thru Seneca Lake SP along the north end of Seneca Lake. The gravel is well compacted and unless it is unusually wet weather, should be fine for most cyclists. For those opting not to ride the gravel section, you can just follow the route back to the finish that we took at the beginning of the ride. Both options will be marked.

  5. the Finger Lakes Welcome Center is worth a visit -- snacks, coffee, wine tasting. Worth seeing the beautiful large scale mosaic floor map of the Finger Lakes.

Rest Stop: Canoga Fire Dept in Canoga (open 8 am to 12:30 pm)

The Long Route riders use the Canoga FD rest stop twice

    - Regular Route - 21 mile mark    - Long Route - 21 mile & 43 mile mark

Long Route: After the 1st rest stop, add a 21.5 mile loop with 720 ft of climbing. Cycle along the western shore of Cayuga Lake past many wineries before heading back north to the same rest stop. Then follow the regular route back to the finish.
